Good Shepherd Hospital was inaugurated on April 1, 1965, by the late Rt. Rev. Bishop Aldho Maria Pathroni SJ. Located on the beautiful Chellotte Estate of the Calicut Diocese in Vythiri, Wayanad, the hospital began its noble medical mission under the care of the late Sr. Dr. Teresa Pia Varikatt, later carried forward by the late Sr. Dr. Giovanna Alberoni, and today it continues to flourish under the leadership of Dr. Krishnadas, M.D.

Today, GSH stands as a 30-bedded Catholic rural charitable hospital and serves as a recognized training centre for MBBS graduates from St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bangalore. We are dedicated to delivering holistic healthcare services to the rural population, including the workers of Chellotte Estate and the tribal communities of Wayanad.
